Everyone who made it aboard a ship, check in and let us know where you are so people are aware you're not dead.

People are going to be asking questions soon enough, if they haven't already. We need a coherent story as to what "happened" to us and why we were out here in the first place. I've mentioned that many of us aren't sailors, but beyond that, no detail.

It does. Needed to ensure they knew they may be dealing with people who couldn't handle themselves in the water, however. I implied that I'm not civilian myself, though careful to avoid any details, what with the age I appear.

We need to know the names of some locations we can claim to be from.

Neria, aboard the Harbinger. I said I was a scholar and have never been on the open seas before.

[Which isn't entirely untrue. She's grateful, though, that their facade is real enough that no one can see her ears.]

The Harbinger looks like it's full of naval soldiers. They're armed to the teeth with cannons. [She doesn't know what the other ships might have, unfortunately.] I've been looking for anyone familiar on board but the crew's been so busy...

[flatteries]

I recognized someone as part of the crew, actually. Since I am on that ship was well. [ Inigo is still fairly new, and doesn't recognize a lot of faces (or voices, considering the telepathic network and all) that quickly, but there had been one that is far, far too familiar to him-- ]

.. My sister. I suppose she became part of the crew as an.. Infiltrator, they call it, right?

[ He's trying to not sound too lost, but truthfully, even though he's been seperated from his sister before it's never been like this. Never has he tried to catch her gaze before only to fail at it, or only to be met with a complete lack of recognition - to be completely ignored. It's pretty awkward, especially since it's something he's not used to yet with this whole Jaunt business. ]

[Not alone. And his sister is part of the crew... Neria is silent a moment, stilling any thoughts or preconceptions that might spill over. Instead, she focuses before she speaks again.]

Forgive me for not recognizing her, or you. And yes, they are called Infiltrators. She will believe she has always been a part of this world. She will not know us...nor will she know you, I'm afraid.

[And that is the hardest part of all, she knows. Never before has she had a family member here. But those she cares for have forgotten her for their time as Infiltrators, and the first time was always the most difficult.]

She will remember everything when we have completed the task we were brought here to do.

The Panlong certainly can't be classed as a military ship compared to the firepower you're describing. I've recognized two Infiltrators among the crew thus far.

It's probably best that way. We don't want to attract more attention than we already have.

[Not when they're as armed as they are. She does not know how magic would be received in this well, though she assumes it will be enough for her to be tossed overboard. Until they can even the playing field and ensure their own safety, keeping low would be wisest.]

Do you feel threatened by them? Has anyone made any untoward comments?

[She pauses.]

So two of our number are with you, possibly another one or two on the Harbinger. But we're missing more than that...

[ The communication comes cautious, almost slow and distracted-- her first time at perusing the psychic network despite the few exchanges that had come through prior. ]

There aren't that many people asking questions yet but-- I'm not sure how long their food supplies will last.

[ It's one thing to have the space for more, it's another to have food for enough, after all. There'll be more than questions once that happens. ]

[Well the psychic network is strange. Hitsugaya isn't terribly accustomed to it himself. But he learns to adapt quickly.]

Hitsugaya Toushirou, aboard the same. Questions will come; they seem a curious type on here. As for the food stores, there might not be much to do about that unless there are edible creatures in these waters and the means to catch them. Or hope they're within close enough reach of a port to replenish. [But yes, that could be a bit of a problem with a bunch of unexpected passengers suddenly aboard.]

I haven't had the chance to speak to any crew onboard regarding nearby ports but from what I've seen, most of their supplies are very land-based so far.

[ Potatoes. Chicken. Carrots. No fish! A far cry from the Ivory Tower.]

I'd hope it isn't something based on their culture.

Anyway. Uh. Regufees works, I guess. From what I've heard, there's a couple wars going on. Or one big one that's scattered all over. Something like that.

Suits you in what way? [Are you on a ship of thieves, Neeshka?] Seems plausible enough. If there's a constant among worlds, it's likely war.

Well, I'm a rogue. This is a ship full of pirates. I pretty much fit right in.

I'd add merchant vessel to the list of possibilities. It's not unheard of to take risky routes to shave time, or avoid questions if the shipping manifest doesn't quite match what's in the hold. Or to be blown off course, for that matter.

Where we'll really want to be cautious is in saying where we're from. The last thing we need is to be held captive for claiming the wrong side in a war.

My name is Fuuka Yamagishi and I'm on the Panlong. I'm afraid that I don't know much about what's going on but I suggest that perhaps we were just traveling toward somewhere.

We could say that we got lost and accidentally crashed toward somewhere? Although, I’m not sure how well that will work.

[His mental voice is terse, but not unduly harsh.] And do we even have any location names for where we are? I'd think passengers aboard a ship would at least have some idea of where it was supposed to be going. We evidently arrived in the wake of a major storm, so at least the being in a wreck part of it isn't the problem.

Haven't really given much of anything about our story yet, since I had enough other concerns that nobody pressed for it. [Other concerns = "is girlfriend drowning down there." Nobody was going to try and get the time of day from him, given that.]

If nobody's been stupid enough to claim responsibility for the lot of us, we might be better off saying our captain hasn't been found in the wreck. But it's gonna look weird if they pull this many passengers and not a single crew member.

Thus far, I don't think anyone's been quite that stupid. [Thankfully.] If any can pull off a claim of being a sailor, it would indeed be for the best. For my part, I've implied I'm not civilian at the least. Though given the age I appear, that may not mean much.
