Liminal Ball Announcement

Ladies, Gentlemen, and anyone who does not consider themselves either of the two, I have an announcement.

I believe it is time that we have another Liminal Ball. Last year, I coordinated, with the help of some others, a ball here in Liminal Space between Jaunt. It is obvious that after all of the chaos and division we have had in the past weeks, we need to come together and celebrate us as a group before our hosts divide us even further.

Thus, a few days after Liminal Space changes, we will hold a fancy-dress ball, masques optional, but encouraged. I will need some help with creating food, drink, and decorations. Please feel free to come find me if you would like to help in some manner. We will also likely need people to assist with outfits and costuming for those who cannot create their own.

Also, I must emphasize, this is a ball for everyone. No matter who you are, no matter what your opinions are on our current state, you are welcome. We are all in this together, and we really need a bloody break.

Last year, it was a celebration of New Year and other winter holidays, whatever people celebrated in their home worlds.

Now, a combination of that, and just... well, why does one need a reason to have a party? There's been enough stress and frustration around lately. A party with food and dancing is certainly a way to relax.

I have asked for a space for it, in a much more direct way than I did last year, but in this case, I could likely come up with some space myself if the one we are given is unsuitable for one reason or another.

Kanji's really great at that stuff too, by the way, and he's like the package deal: good at original designs and good at production. So if you don't make your own or get stuff from me and Alcuin in our annual partnership, you should totally get Kanji's stuff. He did some really neat shit last year.

If you've got time, I'd appreciate some help with a costume? I think I got liminal manipulation down well enough to handle a mask, but I don't think I've worn anything appropriate for a ball since, like, my quinceanera.

If Alcuin's willing, I'm totally up for reprising our old partnership where he comes up with the costume ideas and then I make them come into being with my wardrobe manipulating stuff.

We might try to do that Sun Prince bit of pageantry again too.

There is something I have been meaning to ask you. She also told me you had asked the Arcana for a suitable party space, and they had answered. How did you communicate with them? My goal, of course, being to try to talk to them instead of waiting for them to talk to me.

One at Windsor Castle, especially that got... somewhat interesting near the end.

I figured out food about a week ago, although some of it's a little... approximate? I'm not much of a cook doing things the old fashioned way and I think I keep forgetting details.

Pretty sure I can figure out some passable tamales or something, though.
