synopsychic | Liminal Ball Announcement

Ladies, Gentlemen, and anyone who does not consider themselves either of the two, I have an announcement.

I believe it is time that we have another Liminal Ball. Last year, I coordinated, with the help of some others, a ball here in Liminal Space between Jaunt. It is obvious that after all of the chaos and division we have had in the past weeks, we need to come together and celebrate us as a group before our hosts divide us even further.

Thus, a few days after Liminal Space changes, we will hold a fancy-dress ball, masques optional, but encouraged. I will need some help with creating food, drink, and decorations. Please feel free to come find me if you would like to help in some manner. We will also likely need people to assist with outfits and costuming for those who cannot create their own.

Also, I must emphasize, this is a ball for everyone. No matter who you are, no matter what your opinions are on our current state, you are welcome. We are all in this together, and we really need a bloody break.

You do intend to try me, don't you? I am quite certain we could work with such material. Especially for your leaf shapes and dappled sunlight motif.

But of course. I mean, you could be in them too, you know. Clouds are filmy. Breezes are filmy. You'd look super good like that, boy or girl body. I bet we could figure out ones that will work for both with, like, long sleeveless tunics for the base.

Elua knows the Travelers probably think I spend most of my leisure time in a chiton. No need to disabuse them of that notion. Fluttering sleeves and a capelet would hardly be difficult to add to that.

You may wish a firm, textured core garment, as if of living bark. Flowing lines will indicate supple youth, like a sapling, while rougher textures and straight cuts will indicate a more firm, solid tree such as an oak.

Little do they know what a fiend you are for tight pants!

Yours could be pure white, like a cloud. Fluffy. Not to mention here's where having white hair really comes in handy.

I think perhaps maybe subtle shades of white, cream, palest blue, and the barest touch of green. Something more air and less cloud. Something which conjures the idea of movement. Actually, perhaps we might be able to... what is the term. Chalk? My hair?

Also, having been in a dude body I don't know how you do it. Forever baggy! But jeez, if you think they're comfortable, I really need to introduce you to leggings.

I remember one of my overlays using it to create the illusion of colored shadows in his hair as a fae prince for an audience. It might serve again. Or prestidigitation, for that matter.

I have no idea what those are, but I must assume some sort of leg coverings. Possibly pants. How do you not feel like you are in a hareem costume with baggy trousers? If it is not a skirt, it is so much more comfortable closely fit.

You've got light hair so chalk would work well on you. We'll definitely have to prestidigitate me though.

Leggings are like a cross between hose and pants and usually more comfortable than both. You'd love them.
