This is certainly the clearest message we've had from our delightful hosts in quite some time. Maybe they actually intend to make us aware of which of them is winning after all, instead of leaving us to guess and grope after everything.

Tell me, I'm curious: was it the intent of our Investigators that the Hermit should win, or was it just left to chance?

I'll be honest, 'methods' is a really strong word for what any of us were doing.

But I did say most. Some of them have to be obvious losing bets. If you have a problem with one of them - or several of them - I'm all ears.

The Devil would be the worst of a bad lot. The ones who caused Harrogate and Moebius wouldn't be much better.

Great. ...I probably could have guessed that the Devil wasn't our favorite Arcana. You have names for the other two?

If the third round of their mass claims followed the same pattern as the rest, Justice and Death. Though pattern recognition is an admittedly flimsy basis for declaring outright enmity for a pair of would-be gods.

...Justice? That seems a bit out of place with the other two. Which one of those jaunts are we presuming she's responsible for?

Only if you have a particularly romantic view of the concept.

Harrogate. Again, if they kept the same pattern throughout.

Hah. I think that's the first time anyone's called me 'romantic' about anything in my entire life.
