Arcana-talk time [A day or two into the new liminal]

We're still assuming that the liminal space before a Jaunt represents the Arcana competing in it, yes? I know someone's mentioned this earlier, but it definitely needs to be highlighted-- I think it's pretty obvious this time that the contest will be between Chariot and Tower. The giant wooden horse running through a thunderstorm really couldn't be more blatant. For once.

[He's not great at understanding symbolism, but damn if this wasn't an easy one.]

So if that's right, it'll be a contest of motion and persistence, versus dramatic change and catastrophe. I think it's easy enough to decide who we want to support, in this case. We'll just have to find ways to make sure we see what sort of conditions make for a win for each ideal.

Any ideas for what to look for and how to keep things from devolving into a catastrophe? Those seem to happen a lot when we're around, unfortunately.

Hm. Mostly I just find someone important to suck up to or stalk. Or if no one's obvious, play along with the obvious story until a person of interest arises. I hadn't thought to team up beyond keeping my eye on Maria, but perhaps we should coordinate something among the more psychically able...

That's very true. To be honest with you, I'm not actually much of a planner no matter how diabolical I sometimes try to appear. Both my universe and my magic were too thoroughly governed by Fortuna...at least before I came here. Organization will never be my strong suit, but I can try to contribute to pre-planning a strategy, at least.

To be frank, I think quieter professor types like yourself would do better planning things here than other, more assertive leaders. There's a great number of people here, and many of us are rather stubborn about taking orders from anybody. If a group of more organized thinkers got together and formulated some suggestions that people are free to deviate from in the moment, it would probably go over better than someone taking direct charge.

Well, the Travelers are a large group, and a plurality of them are teenagers. The best you can do is sort of point them in the direction where they're not going to die and hope for the best.
