Arcana-talk time [A day or two into the new liminal]

We're still assuming that the liminal space before a Jaunt represents the Arcana competing in it, yes? I know someone's mentioned this earlier, but it definitely needs to be highlighted-- I think it's pretty obvious this time that the contest will be between Chariot and Tower. The giant wooden horse running through a thunderstorm really couldn't be more blatant. For once.

[He's not great at understanding symbolism, but damn if this wasn't an easy one.]

So if that's right, it'll be a contest of motion and persistence, versus dramatic change and catastrophe. I think it's easy enough to decide who we want to support, in this case. We'll just have to find ways to make sure we see what sort of conditions make for a win for each ideal.

Any ideas for what to look for and how to keep things from devolving into a catastrophe? Those seem to happen a lot when we're around, unfortunately.

Without knowing any of the details of where we're going, but considering Tower's likelihood of sponsoring, a 'slow burn' might be the best choice, at least for that world's immediate future.

I'm more concerned for its future after we've all left them to pick up the pieces, however.

Yeah. Long-term effects... we'll have to see. It depends on the situation. It's too hard to make an assessment without being on the ground.

And it can be equally hard to make it once in the middle of things, unfortunately.

... Yeah. No, I know how that goes. But we have to do our best to do that. We have to remember to take a step back and breathe. Or... pause, if you don't breathe.

That is sound advice, and yes, I do breathe. Seeing is the thing I sometimes don't possess.

[Lupa is actually attempting a joke there, clear enough from tone, but he's not very good at jokes.]

That's fair. There's just so many different kinds of people here, I didn't want to assume.

There are some here that I believe don't need to breathe, so it's good of you to consider them as well.

I like to try to be inclusive. I'm used to hanging around people with weird powers which can end up with them having... weird side effects.

Then you'll fit in well here. There are many powers and abilities and side effects to be dealt with.

Sounds pretty good to me! It keeps things interesting, at least.

Quiet moments are rare, even when not taking this network into account.

Probably! It sounds pretty much up my alley! I had a lot of that when I was traveling at home, too.

I'm used to dealing with being on the road and seeing dangerous stuff. The lack of sensible gravity is new, but I can get used to that. I've dealt with a lot of weird over the past year and a half, a little more isn't so bad.
