Arcana-talk time [A day or two into the new liminal]

We're still assuming that the liminal space before a Jaunt represents the Arcana competing in it, yes? I know someone's mentioned this earlier, but it definitely needs to be highlighted-- I think it's pretty obvious this time that the contest will be between Chariot and Tower. The giant wooden horse running through a thunderstorm really couldn't be more blatant. For once.

[He's not great at understanding symbolism, but damn if this wasn't an easy one.]

So if that's right, it'll be a contest of motion and persistence, versus dramatic change and catastrophe. I think it's easy enough to decide who we want to support, in this case. We'll just have to find ways to make sure we see what sort of conditions make for a win for each ideal.

Any ideas for what to look for and how to keep things from devolving into a catastrophe? Those seem to happen a lot when we're around, unfortunately.

[That's not to say Rorschach can't read Broly's thoughts - he could, if he was in close proximity to the Saiyan, thanks to a little talent he picked up during a Jaunt. But he doesn't advertise that ability, for obvious reasons.]

Rorschach. [The man's voice is distinctive, rough and low with a touch of gravel, like he's almost murmuring, but not quite. Instead of answering the second question, he asks another of his own.] Who marked you?

'Rorshack'.

[Not exactly right but close, and he's going to repeat it once or twice to make sure he remembers it.]

I don't know what marked means.

Met a being when you came here. Gave you a mark somewhere on your body, tattoos, mostly, sometimes scars. [His own is a very large scar, a lichtenberg figure blooming across his back, but he's mostly seen inked art.] Who was it?

I don't see a tattoo or scar that's new. All I have that's new is where I got struck by lightning, and that's healing pretty well.

Yes, if shouting in a storm counts. ...Tower is the one everyone is concerned about.
