Now that I can have everyone's attention, a little good news.
Since Jules and I both needed the occasional break from the Bronze Age, I'm proud to announce Liminal Intranet is now up and running. Even I'm not good enough to hook it up to proper Internet, as that would involve punching dimensional holes that are probably beyond our reach, but it should at least be a boon to Project Infopool.
Servers are in my rooms, so they won't be going anywhere even if I do. You'll have to provide your own computers, though.

Computers were originally designed to do a lot of math really fast, and it turns out when you have that much math going on you can use it to do all kinds of stuff - play games like the stuff in the arcades, write things down, store your pictures, the possibilities are pretty much endless. The Internet is a network that lets computers share all that stuff with each other across long distances.
What Jules and I just set up is similar, but the network only works within Liminal Space, so it's an intranet. Getting actual internet access going in here would take dimensional hole-punching I'm not sure even our hosts could manage, or if they can they don't see why we'd want them to.

So the internet lets computers talk to each other even when they're really far apart? And intranet is the same thing, only the computers can't get as far apart before they can't hear each other anymore?

[And that's when the implications of all this finally sink in.]
Hold on, does this mean I can get information on stuff without having to ask someone to go into the library and get it for me!?

For a while it's gonna depend on what you want to know compared to what's been added, but part of the idea is to have the alternative there for people who want it.

[He sounds more excited and relieved by that then he probably should. It's also probably not that surprising considering how self-conscious he can be about how much he doesn't know.]
So it'll take a while to get set up, but it will have all that stuff when it's done? Can I add anything important I learn to it too?

Add away, man. It's only as useful as there is stuff on it, and while it's bound to have goofy stuff on it too, part of the point is making it easier to share info.
