Well. Yakumo's come to terms with the Travellers being a strange and unpredictable bunch. At least here, now, he's ready to talk about something much more reasonable:]

How many people here have studied Colour Magic? [definitely a more normal topic. Somewhat awkward, a little abrupt - as if he's only just had it pointed out come to the realization that he can ask other people what they did.] And which Colour did you decide on?

I've started trying to pick up Indigo magic? Not sure if it's sticking just yet, though, no teacher.

Indigo...? Why not any of the others?

Cos I'm good enough at fighting without Red, my original jam is fear so Yellow, Green and Rose are all right out, I'm good friends with two other people learning Blue so that's just unnecessary [not to mention it's sorrow, much more Jules's domain than his] and the whole concept of royalty and vanity are like directly in conflict to what I am, so no Violet.

Indigo's sick. Magic about magic, yo. Getting all meta and learning about what magical things are.

It does have its appeal. Is its study of other magics the only thing you'd want to use it for?

[because that could as easily be accomplished by just, you know. studying the theory.]

Not like, other Colours type of magic. Like, latent magic, or enchanted objects, or-- hell, you're that wizard ninja, right? Pretty sure one of these Indigo spells could identify pretty much everything your wand's made out of. Shit you can't necessarily research on the fly like that.

I'm looking at Colour magic as more of a side thing. My own's different enough that I had to learn it from scratch, so I'm just kind of kicking back with it and fucking around. Seeing what I can use to contrast and compliment my natural shit.

No, nevermind. What sort of magic are you used to?

Probably, yeah. [He's a creature of habit and he hasn't changed any of them since he got here. Regardless of what the question was actually going to be.]

Okaaaaay. Changeling magic's a bit of a bitch to explain, but basically I burn this resource called Glamour - no you can't use it, trust me - to activate Contracts and make shit happen. Mostly based around fear or brute force. My style is... not very subtle.
