[This week's psychic communications are kind of weird. First they're on the lookout for demons, then they're not, then there's a Halloween party...

Well. Yakumo's come to terms with the Travellers being a strange and unpredictable bunch. At least here, now, he's ready to talk about something much more reasonable:]

How many people here have studied Colour Magic? [definitely a more normal topic. Somewhat awkward, a little abrupt - as if he's only just had it pointed out come to the realization that he can ask other people what they did.] And which Colour did you decide on?

I can guarantee y'all Yakki ain't tryin' t'imply nothin' by it. He's a right genuine person - an' that's actually gone an' bitten him in the ass more'n a few times - but he don't ever say somethin' he don't mean. If he's askin' about magic especially, he sure as hell properly wants to know. An' he's the only person in our whole universe, far as I know, who's tryin' t'mix magic an' Ninpou, so he understands full an' well what it means t'have everyone dismissin' yer work outta hand.

[He should know, he did some of that dismissing himself.]

I'll make sure t'pass on the message an' explain things on his end. Ain't too sure any a' this is my place but I'd rather not have him tryin' t'fall out with someone else cos he don't know how t'be polite.

I mean, I know there's probably a pretty okay guy down there underneath it all--or I mean, I hope there is, anyway--but it can be a bit off-putting sometimes.

I ain't about t'deny he's prickly as hell when he first meets people. He grew up expectin' t'get murdered on a daily basis, right from when he was a kid, that kinda colours yer interactions with strangers somethin' fierce. He don't trust easy.

Hell, he hated me when we first met! [Kinji, don't... don't sound so pleased about the fact.] He just takes some gettin' used to. Y'all don't have to if'n y'don't wanna, a' course, just somethin' t'bear in mind that this is him makin' a real effort t'play nice with people.
