In another round of probing the network's capabilities, I think I've found a way to just... leave information available on the network without actually having to hunt through a million conversations to get to the useful stuff. It still needs some testing, but I can't imagine the range of skills to pull the information off the network is all that big - but more important, at least right now, is what I'm planning to leave there.

The most immediately useful thing I could think of was basic information about the Arcana, to help people who aren't tarot-conversant catch up a little. I've put a lot together based on what's been discussed before, but there are still gaps in my knowledge.

If anyone knows anything about what Magician, Priestess, Lovers, Strength, Hermit, Devil, Moon or Sun plan to do if they win, I'd really appreciate having that on the list. Empress and Emperor too - all I could find in reviewing older stuff was that they agreed to do the same thing if either of them wins. I know a couple of them are out of competition at the moment, but considering Lovers has already staged a comeback, I'd rather set this up like any of them could win.

I also couldn't find anything about Tower and Justice's personalities, or whether Hierophant or Star had another name.

That sounds incredibly useful. Both the plans for what you want to leave there and leaving it there, to begin with.

Though we should probably also include some sort of liminal space primer, so everyone knows not to kill each other, that we all come back after dying, that we just make food out of liminal stuff so you don't have to pay for it, that kind of thing. I know we've talked about making a pamphlet, but it has yet to happen, and this seems easier than a pamphlet.

How does it appear when you pull the information off, do you know? Is it like a data dump, like listening to a network conversation, or reading something?

To be fair, we'd also need the pamphlet. Not everyone picks up a lot of network utility, and even if they do it could be months before they go looking for the information. But this seems like a good backup plan, if it works out.

I'm not sure. I'm operating entirely on a hunch right now - pushing that theory we had a while back about marking old conversations so they're easier to find a step further. If there ever was anything here to pull off, it's long gone now.

I do not have much of anything on their intentions but I may have something for speculation once I check a few sources.

Uh, I like Justice, actually? She's pretty cool. Like we kind of talked in circles a lot, but I think that's because I didn't like the answer she gave to me. She's still pretty straight-forward. As these people go, anyway. She likes things to be rational and smart, and she likes things to be right and good. She said, I mean, even if she doesn't win, she's still going to ask the others to fix me so I don't have to... be quite as much a monster as being in Ryslig made me. And you know, she didn't have to do that, and I didn't ask her to, but she still promised. I think that's important.

Talking in circles does come with the territory, with some of them. [Hermit in particular was kind of frustrating, and Naoki can't see the experience being any better now that he's a wolf more often than not.]

I don't know what Priestess' ultimate goals are--given that mystery is one of her things, she might not even know yet--but I think it might not be a bad idea to note that as far as I can tell, she's one of the friendly ones.

Oh, I had... a little success with that 'shaping Liminal Space' experiment. It only affected maybe a three-meter radius from where I started, but that's better than nothing.

As for the one I talked to, they called themself both Phaethon and Icarus. They asked very little of me--merely things I would have likely done in any case--in return for a very princely bribe. I have so far kept up my end of the bargain, but only because I do not have to go much out of my way to do so.

Fool considers Hermit and Death his allies. He also wanted to warn Magician, Priestess, and Empress but not Emperor in addition to the others when bad stuff came up.

I think Ambrose mentioned that Fool wanted to bring us back to where we started, with everything we learned here.

To be honest, in all of my conversations with Sun, I have never asked what his endgame would be. I have been focused on the murder mystery that is the Arcana deaths.

I've gathered that she seems to be incapable of telling the truth, so either the letter or the spirit of that is 'what we want,' and the other is completely not.

And even that's a generous interpretation.

...I think this is probably a skill we had before Moebius. Thanks to a reconstructed memory, I know Spock used to put maps up on the network. This is probably the way he was able to do that.

Magician - ROSE - is a cagey one about her goals, as you'd probably expect. She enjoys both figuring things out for herself and watching us figure things out for ourselves. For whatever it's worth, I feel she's more focused on us - the Fellow Travelers - than the destination. At least for the moment. She's obviously got an agenda, but what exactly it is would entirely be speculation on my part.

My first jaunt was the one where she absconded with us to go and retrieve Hermit. I'm not at all surprised she'd be cagey about her goals.

I didn't want to have to put this out there so obviously, but they're more likely to overhear information shared over the Network. Particularly if it's about themselves. Anyone unfamiliar with them should be made aware of this.

Justice is fair, and wants to see the game played properly by all participants. She hasn't yet shied back from answering questions, and has been upfront about her intentions. The abilities I've been able to access through her Mark are all centered around truth and rationality, which is as good an indication of her ideals as any.

That's hardly a surprise, at this point. My goal right now is to help people who aren't tarot-conversant learn enough to make their own choices. [What they plot from there, and how openly, is on their own heads.]
