We've lost a lot of people lately who could either de-infiltrate people or bridge network divides, if not both. They're both useful things to have more of around, so if anyone wants pointers on either, I'm willing to help. This includes some of the building blocks, but not all.

Well, if you can de-infiltrate people you're halfway to bridging. [The half he won't teach anyone, too, which is a plus.]

Can you find people by using the network? That's the other part - when you put it together, bridging is finding a weak spot in the divide between spaces and punching through it.

I... think I can. I think I've just worked that one out. I'm going to want more practice at it, though. So you're saying that I should be trying to use the same method of finding people to... get past the divide?

Basically. If you know how to find people's doors and dungeons in Liminal Space, this application of finding people with the network works out very similarly, just not applied to the physical space.

[Naoki's realising he can't be far off the other kind of bridging divides, now that he thinks of it like that. But that's something to pursue later.]

I see. Yes, I've got a better handle on doing it by the network, than by the other way. And once I've found the person, I just need to... push through whatever interference or security is up to be able to mentally reach them?

Instead of looking for a person, you're looking for a weak spot in the divide between parts of the network, and then you punch through that.
