Is anyone else thinking Purgatory? Between the heat and the stuff on the tables being grouped in sevens, I'm definitely thinking Purgatory.

[Naoki's not sure yet whether that's a good thing or not, given how that jaunt ended, but it's certainly a thing.]

The sevens could be one of the Jaunt's patrons signing its work, but Melasurei and associated parts seem like a decent bet.

You're back as well, then? [A 'welcome back' doesn't seem like it'd be quite as... well, welcomed by Sabetha as it was by Beatrice, but Naoki's not displeased to hear from her.]

It could be. Certainly if it were just the groups of seven I wouldn't make this leap so quickly. Chariot seems to prefer throwing constantly-moving spaces at us when it can, though.

[He hopes it isn't Chariot. Kanji would probably be annoyed if he found out he missed a chance to help.]

The wheel does evoke motion to a certain degree, even if they're being kind enough to not make us all sick this time through. Though I hear we have a new player on the field?

That we do, and she's pretty likely to invoke wheels. And if we disregard the sins-and-virtues angle for a moment, I think seven's considered a lucky number, which would also fall under her purview.

I think the wheel of chance is one of the few symbols our worlds share. And Fortune would make an appropriate patron for a market of the damned, if that's indeed what all this points to.

So - Fortune versus Justice, would you guess? Or has the board shifted further as a result of that little bit of resurrection?

It turned out to be Justice last time we got reptile scaled, so I'd call that the most likely, yeah. Someone probably got re-entered when Fortune got back into play, but I don't know who, only that Justice hasn't been knocked out yet.

I was looking more at the swords.

Hangmen and gamblers in hell. It sounds like the start of an absolutely terrible morality play.

From everything I've heard, I'd figure Justice is more the lawyer and Judgement the executioner, but that's not necessarily any better.

Given what I recall of Purgatory and the Princedoms below, quite the opposite.
