[Thankfully, the second time that Noct accessed the psychic network he was much more in control of himself, and had a purpose. He was hoping that his 'message was working properly, as he'd never filtered anyone out before and he really preferred physical social media.]

Okay, if this is working properly, Ignis shouldn't be able to hear this. If he can, then you better not be listening.

[Not that it would do anything. But it better be working.]

So now that I'm not drugged out of my mind from pain, I realized that Spec's-I mean Ignis' birthday passed. Like I figured, he-didn't tell anyone, and I'm usually the one who forces him to celebrate.

Look, I don't know many of you or how many of you are friends with him but like. It would mean a lot. You know. If you knew him and helped out and such.

[He took a deep breath so he stopped rambling like an idiot teenager.]

I'm formally requesting the help of anyone involved with Ignis to set up a small get together for his birthday. Any help with food, presents, and anything else would be appreciated.

Well, I know a couple of his favorite foods, but I'm not exactly good at cooking. I kinda want to make the cake myself, though....

[He couldn't steal Iggy's little cooking notebook since he was pretty sure it was glued to him, but thankfully they had been camping enough he could generally remember at least which dishes Ignis had always acted like he'd enjoyed a little more than the rest.]

Well, I...need help making a cake. And he likes some stuff like risotto with seafood? And there was this really good breaded meat that had a lot of tomato in it.

[It was one of Ezio's favorite foods, so she'd learned to cook it. And then he'd fallen out of ambit.]

And I can do cakes and other desserts, too. Have you baked a lot before?

I mean I tried making Ignis a cake once, but it was pretty lame and I think it made him sick. I don't actually know why he ate it.

Ah ha... Yeah, definitely go with Shinji and Minako for food. I really shouldn't be allowed in the kitchen.

But I could set up some kind of space, if you wanted? Or come up with some tables or decorations or something?

Ignis wouldn't want it to be really flashy; he likes elegant and clean. Can you do something like that?

He wears like muted colors and purples a lot? Maybe it would be better to ask Prompto or Felih. He doesn't tell me these things.

Make me happy and tell me I’m not likely to need much Thankdawn on hand for people who get totally hammered.

I don't know what Thankdawn is, but I think we'll all appreciate that. I haven't really had many mixed drinks, though.

It's a potion that cures hangovers. Tastes like a swamp, works like a charm. Picked it up in Didney Worl a few Jaunts back.

...I mean most of the mixing is "fizzy stuff" with "Cola syrup" or "cherry syrup" or whatever, but then you get stuff like ginger ale and cider or Cuba Libres. I can give you samples of the soft stuff, while the local branch of Yomi does actual booze.

[He...should've known this was going to happen. Some part of him had been bracing for it after all, since Eliot did clearly care about both Ignis and Prompto. He'd even been planning on asking Prompto if he had wanted to help figured he'd like the idea coming better from someone that wasn't Noct but he didn't exactly expect for Eliot to go straight to talking to him. Kind of rudely.

And you're exactly right. If you ever talked to the fiancé of your best friend, you'd know that this is what I do. Parties are something I'm an expert in.
