And if for some reason an Assist wouldn't have been helpful, I would've found some way for you to get involved. At the very least, dude's gonna need moral support when he gets this thing actually hooked up to him.

But even without Grid-fu I think Assist can at least boost things a little, and I'm definitely leaning on CE to get this done, so.

I wouldn't want you to do extra work just to find a way for me to do something... And why would he need moral support for having a hand again? [He honestly doesn't understand that part. Mostly because losing and then regaining limbs has become pretty normalized for him, but the culture he's from isn't helping him here either.]

Assist can boost other abilities too, yeah. At least enough to make a difference, even if it's only a fraction of how much it boosts, uh, what'd you call it? Grid Foo?

Less for having a hand again and... more for going into and leaving surgery. Between losing his arm in the first place and some bullshit that happened when he briefly hit Earth again, he has 'restrained and sedated' issues, so making sure people are around to remind him he's okay is a good thing.

I don't think we're gonna have to restrain him this time, but he definitely got antsy when we were keeping an eye on him during the Trojan-virus thing. [And he'll have to be knocked out while the arm is hooked up to his body, so... yeah. Partial problem anyway.]

I'm glad we don't have to fish around for a way for you to pitch in on a technology thing, but I wouldn't call it extra work regardless. You want to help your friend. You shouldn't be shut out of that because the work doesn't play to your strengths.

Oh! Oh right. I forgot about that. I can help there too, yeah. If he gets too upset and starts to fight, I can take the hit.

But if there wasn't a way I could help, then I'd just be in the way if I tried. That wouldn't help anyone.
