Magician said they can, in theory, drop us off anywhere on the Vale but Stricken-Star, because they don't have anchors there.

I can't figure out what she means by 'anchors.' Anyone else have any ideas?

She said that there were people who have stories, and people who are stories, and these people are both - they have stories, but those stories follow a pattern every time, even if some details are specific to the worlds or even parts of worlds they're in. So "Jordi" will have secrets, and "Perry" will get in trouble and need "Mina" to save him, and "Trey" is... an entrepreneur?

[That last is obviously not a word she knows.]

I think she also said there could be different versions in different parts of a world, but in cases like that how close they had to be was subjective, but she had trouble finding the right words at that point. But she also said it took a while for her to figure out that where and when were different, so it could just be a... vocabulary issue? Or I just misunderstood. She also said they don't need all of them to be present to be able to find the boundaries for a Jaunt, but they need at least some of them to be there, and more is better.

That would go some way toward explaining how Perry and Mina were both in Questing Country and on the Starmovers-side planet at the same time. Even knowing those worlds are connected, I think it was at two such different points that it couldn't just be dreaming, and there might've been a species difference in play as well.

In that case, yes. I don't know about other Jaunt worlds, like the one with Paramo and the Bando and Crownbreaker Isle.

And also, considering they're as much places as people, it's not surprising she gets confused.
