An invitation~

So... Matt and I were talking, and since Matt so graciously accepted my proposal, we decided that for my birthday we can have a little wedding, as a treat.

We'd like to invite all the Travelers - no need to RSVP, just turn up if you're feeling like it that day. There's no dress code for guests, there will be food at the reception, and music, if you feel like dancing on the rings of Saturn with us.

We have some things planned, and there are some folks helping out already, but if you feel like pitching in, heh, we wouldn't say no. Feel free to reach out and we'll get you in touch with the people who are already working on stuff.

We would be honored if people would be interested in sharing in this with us. I can promise no kaiju, but there will be sweets.

Booze is usually involved with weddings, and I know that you do like it.

But no, I think his world is enough like mine where weddings are maybe two days at the most not counting a bachelor party before.

I think? The only wedding I've been to I crawled into the venue at the end with one and a half legs right after being dead, so I've got no real idea.

That was when I crawled back from the underworld. Aiden's mom was getting married to Ares - she didn't know it was him - and neither Aiden nor her dad, Hades, were pleased.

Uh. Ares is the Greek god of war, Hades is the Greek god of death. Ruler of a different underworld than the one I was in, though.

Would there even be a book big enough to hold all the names of the Gods we know? Shiro, do you plan to get married invoking the name of a God? It's how we do it in Eorzea, mostly.

That's a pretty common practice at home, but neither Matt nor I are very religious, so I think we're going to skip calling on a deity or deities. If our friends feel like offering blessings from their gods on the marriage afterward we wouldn't object, it's just not something we'll be highlighting.
