This is my first time actually trying to make a message through the whole network... hopefully this will work.

[Jean sounds rather exhausted as he talks. While he had been away from the dungeon for some time, he still hasn't really recovered completely. Not with all the damn emotions and thoughts he had to process. Now he had finally sorted out the most important things so he was ready to talk with others to apologize or just explain.]

To anyone who interacted with Jan Wirths at the previous Jaunt. If there's something you need to talk to me about with that, I'm at workshop for most of the time. I know there were some things that he did that were rather fucked up.

[That's actually an understatement, at least in Jean's mind.]

... and well, if someone wants to tell me a bit more about Persona's, I would appreciate it. Now that I've rested I might understand any explanations a bit better.

And then things that happened in the dungeon... I'm ready to talk about them now.

[He's really been avoiding everyone for some time now. Especially one called Eren Jaeger, who he heard perfectly well over the network the other day. He almost adds "Jaeger stay out or I'll feel worse" but

1) Mikasa wouldn't like that
2) Eren would yell at him
3) Headache guaranteed

So he just leaves this as this.]

I apologize for my information dump, Jean-san. Having been in the same state myself, I should have remembered how tired and overwhelmed you would be.

However, if you would like to speak about anything, I am more than willing to do so.

It was a bit overwhelming, I have to admit, but I could be even more confused without an explanation, so don't feel bad about it.

I think it might be good to talk about a few things. Someone already promised to talk about this, not that I'd mind as much information as possible, but... we did meet at the Jaunt, didn't we?

Er, yes. My overlay was the Princess Noriko. We spent, er, a good amount of time together.

[There's what is almost a mental blush at that comment.]

So I was right... [His tone may be a bit awkward at that. All the memories of his- er, Jan's time with Noriko were only pleasant ones when the guy normally held a rather bland emotional scale.]

I think she was one of the very few Jan actually enjoyed talking with.

Noriko truly enjoyed her time with him as well. He was one of about four people she actually liked and wasn't just... stringing along.

[There's a bit of a mental eyeroll at that, and somehow, awkwardly, a few... residual feels? She squashes those down hard.]

I guess they had a lot in common, in that sense.

[Jean also has some feelings left over from Jan's memories. Some sort of attachment and ... other close feelings. Of course he knew neither of them were the people they were and the feelings remained there.

But well, they could try being friends, right?]

While I know you're not Noriko - and I'm definitely not Jan either... I still feel like want to get to know to you? Well, you did help me back at the dungeon and all.

I would certainly like that.

[There's a mental smile in her voice. She doesn't want to deal with residual overlay feels, but she certainly can turn that into a friendship.]

No one should have to face their Shadow alone. I was glad to be able to help.

I'm really grateful for the help. Thank you very much.

[The tone he says it in, is very respectful. Though he returns it to a more neutral one, once he speaks again.]

... though I would appreciate it if you didn't call me "-san". I mean, I don't think we have that much age difference.

[Mikasa once explained about the whole suffix things after learning about them herself, so he knows a bit about it - at least.]

Oh, er, likely not. My apologies. It is a form of respect where I come from, and an old habit.

[Her tone is slightly sheepish, and in an attempt to be less awkward than she really is, she attempts to change the subject.]

You said that you already had someone walking you through Persona basics, yes?

I heard about it from a friend of mine when I arrived, it's alright. I'm just not used to it quite yet.

[Respect, huh? Well, that gives the suffix a nice ring, he has to admit.

Meanwhile he's very used to first name basis, it would seem.]

Yeah. Naoki came to visit me.

Understood. Most areas of my world do not use that particular mode of address, but I am stubborn.

[And very proud of her heritage, but that's beside the point.]

Good. His explanations are likely much more user-friendly than mine.

It's an okay thing to be stubborn about, I'd say. I'll get used to it, at least, and I'm sure many others feel the same.

[Not used to enough for him to start using them himself, but that's obvious.]

I most likely would have understood you as well, if you'd told me the same things now. [A small pause, and a lower tone.] ... and I think I'd prefer yours over someone who just tried explaining it to me as well.

It is extremely exhausting to face your shadow. It took me about a week before I felt completely right. Make certain you get plenty of sleep. Trust me, it's annoying, but you will feel better in the end.

[She pauses, and there's a mental exasperated sigh.]

That is Souji. He was Prince Narukami on the Jaunt. I apologize for him. He can be quite... esoteric sometimes.

[... how polite, Naoto.]

Yeah, that's what I've been doing ever since we came back. That and thinking about what went on... but there's a limit to what I can solve by myself so I decided it was time to ask.

[Why can't Persona come with a handbook. Jean could have read one by now.]

Oh. I thought he sounded familiar. [His meetings with Narukami were rather few, in the end.] Yeaah, that's... a good way to put it.

[He's still waiting for the "whoos" and "wham" sound effects.]
