But also, um, I was wondering what would happen to him if I end up thinking I'm someone else again? Because if he's stuck here and I can't take care of him, he could die, and I really... really don't want that to happen.

Ex-Cousins? Does that have to do with the color magic?

Some of us turned into Illuminants when we were in Misericordia! Those are people who're the personifications of color magic! Well, technically we were their vessels. All the Illuminants are Cousins. But we're not them anymore. The Trumps peeled us apart after we tried to punch them.

I got to be Green! Green was the best Illuminant because she had animal magic. Yellow was almost as good because he made money and money is like magic anyone can use, except he also carried dumb grudges because one of his things was jealousy. They were all good in their way, even Red who was mean a lot.

Oooooh! I'd really like to meet them all! What's it like being the personification of magic? Does it feel different from being a person?

Yes! It's bigger! And if your Illuminant has been someone--or a lot of someones--before, then you can remember stuff from their life before. Only sometimes it's dumb stuff about kissing.
