Maybe I haven't seen a lot of magic. But I've seen what humans can do to each other. Magic is only a weapon. It's the people using it that do those things you're talking about. What's the difference between killing someone with magic, and killing them with a blade? Dead is dead.

If wanting to protect everyone from the ones that are willing to do those things makes me a monster too, then I'll become a monster.
