Now that we've been released, let's speak on where we are and what is going on.

For those of you new to our numbers, this is a Jaunt. We are brought to a particular world and given a task. What that task is...none can say. But it will be more apparent in time, and then we can take action.

[A pause, almost a sigh.]

However, we have to focus on a few things first, such as food and shelter, and finding our way around the city. We'll need to begin our search as soon as possible. Has anyone found anything suitable for us to use in the meantime? We should gather there and regroup.

And if anyone has heard about what was going on in the alleyway when we arrived? Or about the card that was left behind?

No. You assume your methods work for everyone, including me.

This is not my unit. Build unity with somebody else.

I assume my methods will be more effective. Perhaps I'm wrong. [It's something she'd hate to admit, but it's certainly happened.]

That's why we must work together. We need different perspectives, different approaches.

[gitanes]

But you've rejected mine offhand.

[abetterway]

I reject is as a first resort.

[gitanes]

I'd like to know who gave you license to reject methods in the first place.

[abetterway]

...Well. I suppose I can't pull rank on anyone, can I? [She's smiling to herself, in the cold, faint and grim.]

You've absolutely no obligation to listen to me, but you knew that.

That's right. I was just hoping you'd realize that.

[She wants to ask why do you care, but thinks better of it.]
