[Later in the 1st Week, OTA] After Drizzt Gets Arrested....
[Ever heard resignation and embarrassment in your head at the same time? Because you are now.]
Before I say anything else: I am all right. Unharmed. Unhurt. Fine.
However, I have been arrested by a Council Enforcer and a member of the Elite Duskling Corps, although I did not catch her name. I believe I am being held near to the center of the city, and I am to speak to one Councilor Verena.
... I would prefer to abide by their laws, and I've only been arrested on suspicion because my saying that I didn't know what assistive devices were, which was taken to be a lie. However, is this truly the best course? I do not see any reason why they would keep me for too long.
[A pause, then a bit of a chuckle.]
Please make sure my father Zaknafein does not do anything rash this time. I am truly unharmed, Father.
((OOC: After the top thread here.))

But I could help explain assistive technology, if you'd like.

But it can be a lot more complicated than that, too.

This isn't my first time dealing with police and being on the wrong side of the law.

... Can others create portals to rescue me if it becomes necessary?

[There's a pause.]
...I could probably do it, but just my luck I'd screw it up.

Do you need any help? I can likely help with any sort of information that you need, or, well, ignorance of the law does sometimes work as an excuse.
It seems that others have this well in-hand, however.

[Bad time for humor. Drizzt sounds a bit embarrassed as he goes on.]
If you do not mind helping, have a healthy lack of information about most things, still. If they were to ask me questions about such things regarding my age or what rural town I am from, I wouldn't know what to say. I know that I appear about fifteen or so years of age for a human, but somewhere in my twenties if I was still drow. Being an adolescent in form is much more of a headache than I originally thought.

[There's a thoughtful pause before she goes on.]
Adolescence is awful no matter what your culture. It is an awkward time no matter who you are.
As to anything else, I'm still trying to find more information. The plague seems to have wiped out most of the cities other than this one. There is also not much information at all. I am assuming there are rural areas, but there is precious little about them that I have found.
I will keep looking, though. Give me a couple hours, and I'll pour through the libraries I've found.

[Action]
They want to try and get him out legally, for obvious reasons - it's but the beginning of the jaunt, and breaking him out now would have several of them fugitives for the length of the jaunt, and mark the rest of them under more suspicion than they already are. But they also need a way out in case the legal means fail.
Naturally, Armin makes his plans to help with both contingencies.
The biggest immediate concern is how this interrogation goes. He knows too little, and relaying questions over the network may be too slow, and give him too many responses to form a coherent answer in the heat of the moment. So obviously, Armin's best solution is to be there with him. He sets himself up in liminal space, with Sansa there to watch over his body, and ready to portal Drizzt out if the need arises. Then he leans back, closes his eyes...
And appears next to Drizzt, without warning and giving no sign he's not actually there. He looks around - quickly taking in the situation and their surroundings - before he turns to the drow, calm but serious.]
Drizzt. Are you all right?
[Action]
[And then. Drizzt realized the question was heard by his ears, not his mind, and he is answering with his mouth--
Drizzt scans the room, his eyes falling onto Armin, and then he takes a few stumbling steps back with wide eyes.
Fuck, Armin. Warn a drow, would you?]
How did you--?!
[Action]
Armin tenses, not anticipating that reaction.] Drizzt! Calm down, please. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you.
