As for Malik's overlay, this would work if he followed you willingly, but I know sometimes citizens are wary of breaking the law. You will need help smuggling him out if he is unwilling.

Cop is another word for policeman. I don't think these guys are police; there would hopefully be trouble.

In truth, I would prefer it if Malik understood that we want to help him. Otherwise, he may call the police later. If he throws in with the guards, leave him.

Do not trust the police here. We do not know if they are working with these 'black ops.' I would rather not involve them. Thorne tells me they shoot people more often than they should.

My overlay doesn't really care much for cops either; I can roll with this. In his experience, they're susceptible to bribes. I figure that's important to keep in mind.

We can use bribery as an emergency, though that will not protect us if the bribed cop spills secrets during a thorough interrogation. You have access to great amounts of coin? I traded for enough to buy a shop's entire stock, but our secrets are worth more than just a shop.
