Unrelated, surprisingly enough. He'd been looking for a successor for a while, he knew he was probably gonna be dead in a few months from old age. That he got to do it with the whole 'uniting the amulet and making a new golden era' thing was just fucking fantastic timing.

Huh. Well, shows how much I know. Which actually is not a lot, since I spent most of the Jaunt away from any of the action and have mostly just been backreading the network since then.
