Definitely. He'll probably also get around to the Goldilocks Zone and how unimaginative the universe is about planets and why we need to expand the space program. Which he'll probably have some new material for since last time I heard the speech. ...Hm. Might have to hunt down some booze.

... no, just copies of really nice vintages from back home for him. Or, well, I'm told they're nice. I'm still developing my palate.

Never really learned much about wine myself. I know you're not supposed to get the cheap stuff, and dessert wine is the sweetest. White goes with fish, red goes with red meat? I think? It was a college town. Mixed drinks and beer was more likely to be on the menu at the clubs and bars.

Yeah, it was the same back home. At least the ones I went to. We weren't so far from wine country, though, for there not to be wine bars at all, though. Just-- not my kind of bar back then.

Santa Carla. It's on the north side of the Monterey Bay. We're in that part that's neither proper Norcal nor Socal.

Nice. Beautiful country out there. You can't beat the ocean. A clear night, no clouds, far enough down the highway that you're away from most of the city lights, you can spend all night out there easy, listening to the waves and watching the stars.
