Okay, the next time I say anything like ‘this will go fine’ about an upcoming jaunt, each and every one of you is welcome to come find me and punch me in the face. Oh my god.

That might be the only thing that went well.

This does remind me, though - on the likely safe assumption Circe was responsible for poisoning the sunscreen, I owe you a radiation antidote. I couldn't think of any way to convince her to take it herself, given the situation.
no subject
... Shit, that was radioactive? I didn’t have a lot of contact with it, but I did spend a week hanging around where I grabbed it from, so I’d appreciate it, thanks.
no subject
[Because, as Claudia was putting it, this was Dystopia Mishmash Hell. Naoki's still not convinced there's absolutely no connection between that disaster and Moebius.]
It was definitely radioactive. Fortunately, your intended target knew better than to use it after you got to it, but still. We don't have conclusive proof of that sort of thing following us back from jaunts, but broken bones have stuck around, so I see no reason to take chances.
no subject
God, yeah, the last thing I need right now is radiation sickness. Might be prudent to hit up everyone who was on firewood duty for the ancestor festival, that’s when I picked it up.

That's a good point. I already got some to Thorne-san and her house guest during the jaunt - half-infiltrating is useful like that, and the baby was at risk enough without complicating things.

[There's a complete lack of actual anger to those words, though. He's just tired (and faintly amused).]

[It’s almost a reflex at this point.]
God, I could sleep for a week.

At least they were well past the point that it was ever considered personal. Sure made this particular habit easier to manage while it wore off.]
Fuckin' right? God that was a shitshow.

Also that’s - you know, I can see him trying that. His bug friend is like, eighty percent of his impulse control. Whoever that dragonman guy was that tried to set me on fire? That actually got reported to the producers.

Jesus fucking Christ, seriously? Ugh. Wow.
no subject
... Wait, is that what was up with those weird roach things? Jesus.
