The gestation process is remarkably similar between our species, though the act of reproduction itself differs. I can monitor your health, and that of your child - we do not know what effect Traveling might have on the both of you.

Yeah, there is that. Right now I'm mostly lookin' for somebody who can tell me if I'm right, that that's really what this is. Once we got that figured out... then I'll figure out what I need from there.

If it isn't too personal a question, how far along do you believe you might be?

Gotta be at least four months. That's how long it's been since I-- since I been with my husband. I've been infiltrated for most of that, so I didn't catch on, but I'm definitely expanding.

I'm sorry.

[It's not the depth of sympathy she might offer if she knew just how Zoe and her husband had been separated, but it's genuine sympathy nonetheless.]

Once you've confirmed, one of our colleagues skilled in the manipulation of Liminal Space will probably be happy to help you with more comfortable clothes. It's difficult to guess where our next Jaunt may take us.

It is what it is. And much's I'd hate to lose what I've got, it ain't gonna fit for much longer, if I keep gettin' bigger.

[And if this is indeed pregnancy, she definitely will get bigger.]

There a way I can keep it for when I'm done with this baby thing? Or's it gonna disappear like everythin' else in here?

Most things left unattended will disappear. You may be able to learn to store your belongings - or someone else with that ability may be willing to lend you some of their own extradimensional space.

Then I guess I'd better start askin' around for who has that. These're all I got left of home. Extra... dimensional space, you said?

Yes. I believe some of the younger Travelers have dubbed it 'hammerspace'.

[There's a touch of bafflement on the last word. She's never quite been able to comprehend just what extradimensional storage has to do with hammers.]

Umm, sorry for intruding, Mrs. Zoe. But hammerspace isn't the only option. If you have a room in Leonardo's workshop, then anything you keep there will stay safe, unless Leonardo disappears. It won't be available while he's infiltrating, though. [But for long term storage, it's definitely the thing.]

That's good t'know, too. I do like the idea of this hammerspace thing, but I don't know much about it. And I do have a room in the workshop. Leonardo's been kind enough to let me stay there an' all.

Maybe with some more practice. This was only my second Jaunt, after all. Suppose it'll take time to learn all this.

Yeah. It definitely doesn't come all at once, but if you work at it, you should be able to get it.

[Armin... won't mention that he's been here for two years, and never in all that time has he been able to manifest the slightest control of liminal space - and not for lack of trying. He doesn't want his failure to discourage her.

After all, most people can manage it.

Maybe if I don't hafta spend another liminal space gettin' used to havin' four arms, I'll have more time t'spare for it.

Already got a volunteer for hammerspace. Won't turn down names of anybody else to go to, in the future, though.

Oh, all right. Well, Levi, Sansa, Sabetha, and Joscelin are each very skilled with liminal manipulation. If you have anything else you wish to learn, one of them should know how to do it, and be able to help you.
