Late in Liminal Space

Hello, darlings. We have had quite the difficult last couple excursions, and I think we need a bit of a break from all of the gloom.

So, I would propose a celebration when we find ourselves in our next Liminal Space, as, if I do not miss my guess, it is close to the end of the year. I know there are quite a few Winter Holiday traditions represented among us, so why don't we use that?

I personally would suggest a fancy dress ball of some sort, masked or not. We have enough of us who have the skills to create decorations, food, drink, and clothing, that I believe we could come up with quite the party if we put our heads together.

There is absolutely no need to be so serious all the time, so let's have a bit of fun. Please let me know if you would be able or willing to help with anything, or if you have any ideas of traditions we could participate in. Even if you cannot help, absolutely everyone is invited.

Hm. I'm going to miss giving Christmas presents this year, most likely, unless I wait until King's Day.

Then again, no one ever likes my presents except Maria anyway.

To be frank, they tended toward the macabre.

Let's just say everyone should be happy there was already a Halloween party going last time, or I might have been tempted to make some decorations from scratch.

[Mental shrug.]

At any rate, Maria's probably the only person who'd expect something from me anyway.

Back to your original point, what are you thinking about in terms of the style of the party? I've spent most of the last century in Japan, and they're pretty staid about New Year's over there compared to, say, America.

Hm...I'll put my mind to what I experienced. And find someone to help me with a dress. I love my usual gown, but this is day to day wear for me at this point.

[Good thing you can dryclean clothes by just ignoring the dirt here.]
