Late in Liminal Space

Hello, darlings. We have had quite the difficult last couple excursions, and I think we need a bit of a break from all of the gloom.

So, I would propose a celebration when we find ourselves in our next Liminal Space, as, if I do not miss my guess, it is close to the end of the year. I know there are quite a few Winter Holiday traditions represented among us, so why don't we use that?

I personally would suggest a fancy dress ball of some sort, masked or not. We have enough of us who have the skills to create decorations, food, drink, and clothing, that I believe we could come up with quite the party if we put our heads together.

There is absolutely no need to be so serious all the time, so let's have a bit of fun. Please let me know if you would be able or willing to help with anything, or if you have any ideas of traditions we could participate in. Even if you cannot help, absolutely everyone is invited.

New Year's is probably the time that'll overlap with the most people, if we can figure out when it is. Or we could just wing it.

If you can cover ingredients, Helena-san, I can make some drinks for it. Someone else will have to cover non-alcoholic stuff, and I'll need to get started soon, but it'll be something.

[Thorne hasn't been blocking the psychic network, exactly, but she hasn't been paying as much attention to it as she could, simply allowing it to become background noise in her mind, much like she might have the Malkavian Madness Network. She just honestly doesn't have the spoons to deal with people's bullshit and she knows she can always go back and check the archives.

I'll let you know when I've narrowed down what to make. It definitely won't be Kamui, that's... a little too unpredictable. But there's no reason not to have some fun with this stuff.

Then again, no one ever likes my presents except Maria anyway.

To be completely fair, I am uncertain what day it truly is, but with the snow, and a few things I have heard around, it is my guess that it is close to the end of the calendar year.

And why would people not enjoy your presents?

My family owns a restaurant, so I know a bit about getting large quantities of food together and making it taste good. I just can't actually make any of the ingredients yet. Still working on that.

Pre-making some things would be perfect, actually. We are going to need a large quantity of food, and the more we can make, the more we will have, especially as I believe there are limits on how much we can make at once. Anything you can contribute will be excellent, darling, thank you.

So were there vampires on the other side of the Jaunt, then? I have not heard much about what went on over there.

We taught vampires how to get drunk and supernatural creatures about democracy. I'm fairly sure the second was what we were actually there for. We managed to do the shit we were supposed to, as far as I know, but it wasn't easy. Especially with Zed rigging the voting machines.

Well that sounds like more than a bit of a faff. Bringing suffrage to any group is extremely admirable, however. I attended a few rallies myself in my original time, but was not around to see the final outcome.

All of that aside, it sounds like a fascinating time, rigged votes aside.
