Late in Liminal Space

Hello, darlings. We have had quite the difficult last couple excursions, and I think we need a bit of a break from all of the gloom.

So, I would propose a celebration when we find ourselves in our next Liminal Space, as, if I do not miss my guess, it is close to the end of the year. I know there are quite a few Winter Holiday traditions represented among us, so why don't we use that?

I personally would suggest a fancy dress ball of some sort, masked or not. We have enough of us who have the skills to create decorations, food, drink, and clothing, that I believe we could come up with quite the party if we put our heads together.

There is absolutely no need to be so serious all the time, so let's have a bit of fun. Please let me know if you would be able or willing to help with anything, or if you have any ideas of traditions we could participate in. Even if you cannot help, absolutely everyone is invited.

The typewriter sapped Pete's will to live because he got too close to it.

Exactly.

That one at least wasn't his fault - we needed the shortcut through the Dark Vault, the gooery was about to explode, and he got spooked by something else and stumbled into the typewriter's sphere of influence. Not nearly as dumb as playing ping-pong with Alice.

I mean, he said Alice gave him a great review, but that's Alice.

I really doubt you had to kiss him. But that was probably the easiest way.

Well, true, but it was the easiest way. He is so easily distractable.

At any rate, darling, you had better come to the party. I will even find a way to get you something lovely to wear. A purple dress, perhaps?

I still can't believe he said that was when he picked to drop a Young Frankenstein reference. I mean, Myka reads for fun and you'd barely been out long enough to know what a bra was, never mind catch up on movies. [And she's not sure how well Mel Brooks would mix with Helena's sense of humor anyway, to say nothing of her near-fangirling of Mary Shelley.]

Of course I'll be at the party. And I think I can dress myself.
