Late in Liminal Space
Hello, darlings. We have had quite the difficult last couple excursions, and I think we need a bit of a break from all of the gloom.
So, I would propose a celebration when we find ourselves in our next Liminal Space, as, if I do not miss my guess, it is close to the end of the year. I know there are quite a few Winter Holiday traditions represented among us, so why don't we use that?
I personally would suggest a fancy dress ball of some sort, masked or not. We have enough of us who have the skills to create decorations, food, drink, and clothing, that I believe we could come up with quite the party if we put our heads together.
There is absolutely no need to be so serious all the time, so let's have a bit of fun. Please let me know if you would be able or willing to help with anything, or if you have any ideas of traditions we could participate in. Even if you cannot help, absolutely everyone is invited.

I kind of get the impression that a lot of Alternian Twelfth Perigee's and Last Apogee traditions probably wouldn't got over too well with a majority human crowd. I don't think you're as fond of blood sport as we are. So I'm not sure I have anything I can contribute on that front.
But if you need an extra pair of hands for anything, I'd be happy to pitch in!

And absolutely. We will likely need people to help decorate and arrange things, if you would like to help with that.

They're both mid-darkseason holidays. Twelfth Perigee's Eve is usually more of a private thing, especially for younger folks? It's supposed to be a bonding-with-your-lusus holiday. Mostly kids stay in unless they've got big predatory lusii to do a hunting trip with.
I, uh. This would be the first sweep I did Twelfth Perigee's without Penguinmom. I'd kind of prefer not to dwell.
Last Apogee is the bilunar apogee closest to the dark solstice in the northern hemisphere. The next perigee after that marks the start of the new Solar Sweep - our calendar is hellishly complicated, I have no idea why we divide Solar Sweeps by lunar periods like that, it doesn't really match up and since most adults live off-planet it isn't even like you can keep track of it by physically looking at the moons - mirth, where was I?
Right. Last Apogee is a "getting rid of everything from last sweep you don't wanna carry forward" kind of festival in most places. Usually there's bonfires. Sometimes there's arson, too. If you wanna straight up murder someone and they haven't given you an excuse, well, Last Apogee's a popular time for that, too. I usually didn't celebrate it in populated areas because I was traveling with the circus all dark season and tents are both flammable and a likely acceptable target for the townies. So it was easier to have our own bonfires and occasional grudge matches out on the plains somewhere and come back into town in the fresh sweep.
