Now that we've been released, let's speak on where we are and what is going on.

For those of you new to our numbers, this is a Jaunt. We are brought to a particular world and given a task. What that task is...none can say. But it will be more apparent in time, and then we can take action.

[A pause, almost a sigh.]

However, we have to focus on a few things first, such as food and shelter, and finding our way around the city. We'll need to begin our search as soon as possible. Has anyone found anything suitable for us to use in the meantime? We should gather there and regroup.

And if anyone has heard about what was going on in the alleyway when we arrived? Or about the card that was left behind?

Violence isn't necessary. Not yet. We need more information.

We need to ingratiate ourselves. Gain some trust.

We're not a unit. We're not a family. We're not even really a group. We can't gain trust effectively in a place like this without being part of something bigger than yourselves.

Violence will become necessary.

And we will cross that bridge when we get to it. But showing our hand and being violent now will only burn every resource we have ahead of time.

You advocate for us to find people and to kill them without knowing the entire situation. What if our hitman is one of our own?

Then if he needs to die, he dies.

And if the victim deserves to die instead? Then you would have ended someone's life for naught but your own desires for bloodshed.

My own desire to solve the idiotic puzzle we've been presented with and get out of here. Which, correct me if I'm wrong, is the goddamn point.

And I said nothing about violence. It's quite possible to fight without taking any lives.

That's why we must work together. We need different perspectives, different approaches.
