[a few days into week four]
Hi everyone, Ambrose here with observations... I think most folks have made but let's all discuss about them at once. [ because that's helpful. sometimes. ] And if you have no idea what I'm talking about? Ask, folks will fill you in.
Okay: the tree and the colored fire and the emotions, that's obviously to do with the Illuminants or at least color magic. Dark cold wet city? That's Mr. King We Don't Talk About from Harrogate, maybe. The really bright... things with all the space stuff I think is a reference to Starmovers. I'm still trying to figure out the thing with all the little worlds but that could just be Traveling in general, I'm open to suggestions.
Now: what do we think they're trying to tell us with all this? They've been pretty chatty lately but goodness knows they can be lousy communicators.
Speaking of inscrutable, did any of you meet the Fool? Don Orlea, Bandages Guy?

It is good that he has you to rely on. I fear he is one of the most self-sacrificing individuals that I have ever met, and he needs someone to keep an eye on him.
... I do not mean to be rude, but does partner have another meaning in your world besides someone that works as your equal? The way you put meaning on it is different than I would expect, and most certainly stronger.
switching to private~
No offense taken.
[ and then Ambrose focuses some mental energy into protecting this discussion, not that he's ashamed of it but rather it's not relevant to the overall topic. ]
Really the "partner" phrasing is one Daneel suggested, since at first it was supposed to mark us as equals in regards to the whole human-robot thing. Since that was established though... well. One could call us a couple.

Ah!
[And it's another confused silence as he tries to figure out what to say. Especially avoiding anything about where he first learned about it, considering Lolth's clerics looked down upon it, being that males were taking matters into their own hands when they were meant to serve females. Therefore, like all other of their teachings, Drizzt knows that it is in fact a good and wonderful thing, and he will endeavor to let that be known when he speaks again.]
I've--heard of such relationships, but I have not known anyone in one until now, and in a wonderful one at that by the way you speak. I'm glad for the both of you that you've each found the other.

I'm not entirely sure how common it is in my world--I do not see too much of people's intimate lives. I know of perhaps a couple of sailors that I caught once from a distance, and ah--I know my people are not against it.
[Thanks, mass orgy Melee-Magthere graduation ceremony, for opening his eyes to all the different things drow, male and female alike, could do with each other for all of five seconds before he panicked and ran out.]
And if not for traveling, I certainly would have never met my father again. I'm grateful for that.

So it's not... it's difficult but it's not all bad. I am glad you've gotten time with your father, that seems to be what most folks get here when people from home show up. More time.

More time indeed--time I cherish deeply. We are certainly making up for the years lost between us! I never would have believed my father could be as warm as he is now to me.
