Hi everyone, Ambrose here with observations... I think most folks have made but let's all discuss about them at once. [ because that's helpful. sometimes. ] And if you have no idea what I'm talking about? Ask, folks will fill you in.

Okay: the tree and the colored fire and the emotions, that's obviously to do with the Illuminants or at least color magic. Dark cold wet city? That's Mr. King We Don't Talk About from Harrogate, maybe. The really bright... things with all the space stuff I think is a reference to Starmovers. I'm still trying to figure out the thing with all the little worlds but that could just be Traveling in general, I'm open to suggestions.

Now: what do we think they're trying to tell us with all this? They've been pretty chatty lately but goodness knows they can be lousy communicators.

Speaking of inscrutable, did any of you meet the Fool? Don Orlea, Bandages Guy?

It is more of a personal thing than anything relevant to us. I wrote a tale of an invisible man who covered himself in bandages. This Fool is... very much like the man I wrote of.

I am more than slightly relieved his name is not Griffin.

Ah. Well. [ ...who's Natsumi gods he needs to check in with folks more. ] I'm told being marked by the Fool doesn't make you one so. Hopefully that's a comfort.

I think the last one's Questing Country, actually. I remember those bobbing planetoids from the Valence Showdown.

Yeah, okay, I think I was in a radioactive hole in the ground for that one. Any idea what that place has in common with the other stuff?

I'm pretty sure they're from the same universe as Starmovers? Wasn't the thing in the Empress a baby Starmover?

I have to concur with the theory of Questing Country for the last. Not only in visual but in feel.

As to the Fool, no. I doubt he has much vested interest in me.

Fresher air, peaceful, but with a sense that something needs to be done.

I've had a chat with one of them, yes. [Most of them have, by now. And anyone who hasn't is likely due to have one any time now.]

The worlds feel more like home than the rest of Liminal Space has in quite some time. My world is full of magic and many races of intelligent beings.

I'm afraid I cannot be much more help than that. The symbolism at large continues to escape me.

The symbolism and particulars can be helped, I've been doing this over two and a half annuals and sometimes I still feel like I'm playing catch up.

Griffons, yes! [Drizzt brightens at having a fellow magical world person, yay.] We have those, although I have never seeen one up close other than Daneel's Lady.

I did. And 'Fool' seems a little fitting, in some manner, considering how he spoke to me.

...though...what are all of those beings you mentioned? Were they allies? Enemies?

In that he treated y'all like an idiot or he was a pain t'get anythin' remotely useful out of? Cos it was both fer me.

Both for me too. This was the... second and a half time I've had a chance to talk to him as me and he's still. I dunno. Difficult.

Ah, well. Welcome to the club. How frustrating was he?

And... those seemed to be the being which gave the Arcana the most trouble, or concern. Rivals for them, status-remains-to-be-seen for us I think.

The second chamber doesn't reflect the King in Yellow, exactly. It more closely resembles the prison-city of another such entity. Whether that means our hosts intend to set us out as bait for more than one, or that they're merely being cautious not to draw the attention of one that's had its fingers in Liminal Space before...betting's open on that one.

I agree that Questing Country is the most likely match for the last chamber - and if it is, the warning may be about the Nightmares dwelling there.

I'm really not reassured by either implication there. Not that that's the point just... the idea of more than one of those things being out there is. Lousy.

I missed Questing Country, what was up with these Nightmares?

I've seen a Starmover, as much as you can see one. It seemed nice, but then again it was a baby, and the leadup to it being "born" was pretty...what was the word Citrine thought for it...

"Disconcerting", that was it.

I saw them in hibernation. Or uh. Dead and very radioactive. That was disconcerting in hindsight.

Well. That's one idea. But you're more versed in Arcanum stuff than I am so sure. is this good news or bad news or what?
