Hi everyone, Ambrose here with observations... I think most folks have made but let's all discuss about them at once. [ because that's helpful. sometimes. ] And if you have no idea what I'm talking about? Ask, folks will fill you in.

Okay: the tree and the colored fire and the emotions, that's obviously to do with the Illuminants or at least color magic. Dark cold wet city? That's Mr. King We Don't Talk About from Harrogate, maybe. The really bright... things with all the space stuff I think is a reference to Starmovers. I'm still trying to figure out the thing with all the little worlds but that could just be Traveling in general, I'm open to suggestions.

Now: what do we think they're trying to tell us with all this? They've been pretty chatty lately but goodness knows they can be lousy communicators.

Speaking of inscrutable, did any of you meet the Fool? Don Orlea, Bandages Guy?

Yeah, that's as most as we can narrow down. I've, ah, been one of said mystical beings a couple times through infiltration. The Violet Illuminant. I think I can safely say they generally want in on the Arcana's game, though by his nature Violet was ambiguous about that.

Wait, these Illuminants can possess people?

[Oh, god; too much of a reminder of a certain monster race back where she had passed thru before...]

But...why did they want to join this game? What purpose would it have served them?

It was an Infiltration first but... ah, the second time we encountered them was more. Possess-y.

[ and unpleasant. but that's a long, ridiculous story. ]

And they probably want in for power, or they see some other wacky beings having all these shenanigans and ant to try it out for themselves. But mostly power, I think. At least one of the Arcana called them "little siblings".

I assume that the Arcana wasn't willing to let them play, then?

Exactly. They did manage to break into Liminal Space but got pretty thoroughly rebuked. The combined effort of the whole Spectrum was almost nothing against the Arcana.

[She'd rather not dwell too much on those memories; the beings that she briefly referred to aren't quite as intelligent as the Illuminants, safe to say. But if he insists later on...]

They're that strong? That's...

[Impressive? Intimidating? It's hard to say which one matter more in this case.]

...and you were possessed the whole time? Did it hurt you in any way when they were driven out of Liminal?
