Dragons? Really?

[As far as tone is distinguishable on the network, that's muttered, and very, very frustrated - but anyone who remembers Misericordia probably understands. When Naoki resumes, it's at a much more normal volume and tone.]

Anyway, we might as well get a check-in going. This is Naoki. We are definitely not in Harrogate, unless something went very, very wrong with Earth's climate since the last time.

If it turns out we're missing a substantial chunk of people, I can try reaching out to the others later this week.

If I didn't know better, I'd say you jinxed this by talking about baby dragons exploding all over the place.

Uh, yeah, I'm myself. Korra's also here. I can also sense Naoto and Eren through my bonds, but not Armin or Mikasa.

Once. Though then it was Mikasa alone with me in Doki, and Armin and Eren in space... but you usually don't see Eren and Mikasa in different places, so it's... weird.

[It's obvious from the tone of his voice that he's worried for the other two, since they're likely now in Harrogate.]

Eren-san's not going to be terribly pleased about this, is he?

On the other hand, he's not shouting down the network about it, so I'd guess he's infiltrating.

I tried to contact him, but got no answer, so... yeah, definitely infiltrating. But yeah, he's definitely not going to be pleased whenever he's back to himself.

So the question becomes, do we still snap him back to himself?

I mean, by 'we' I mean probably me, but... on the one hand, this doesn't seem likely to be as dire as Harrogate or even our last baby-dragon-related outing, but on the other, will he want to know what's up now?

Yeah, that's a bit of a tricky question.

For now, it might be best to leave him be. That is, until we figure out what sort of a place this is...

And until we can find out how bad things look on the other side of the divide.

I guess we'll see if someone contacts from that side or other way around and if things are bad for Mikasa and Armin, he needs to come back so he can at least support them from here.

You really think he wouldn't figure out how to punch through to the jaunt despite the danger in order to help his friends?

... now that you mention it, yeah, I can completely imagine that happening.

Not to mention, he's the most stubborn person I know. He'd likely stop only once he's forced his way through time and space.

We'll just have to keep an eye out for her and your friend, then. I'm hearing a lot about a need for security - doing roving patrols looking for poachers. Sounds like something we'd both be pretty good at. You up for some teamwork later?

That sounds like a good plan. It'll finally be the first time we get to work together as ourselves. I look forward to it.

That's not what I meant. I meant Naoki was on a walkabout that had a lot of baby dragons hatching at the same time and it was chaotic.

Though still hope they are not all over the place. That could be a problem. Still seeing so many in one place is strange. They are rare back home, here... Unnaturally not.
