Just when I thought we maybe wouldn't need it. [That part's in a muttered tone, so Claudia probably didn't mean to broadcast it.]

Wrinkle in the plan, guys, Beatrice moved the amulet. She made a really big deal about storing it under guard in the top of her tower, so my guess is it's anywhere but the tower. We don't have much time to work on this. Thoughts?

My first one, frankly, is 'tase the bejeezus out of her and loot her while she's unconscious,' but there's no guarantee that would turn up clues.

...You know, in most cases I'd have more qualms about using something like that, but if anyone's gonna understand after the fact, it's Beatrice. That's a good place to start if you think you can be unobtrusive while you're at it.

I'll work somethin' out. I'm not exactly subtle right now, but considerin' nothing is subtle right now, that might not be much of a problem. If all else fails, I can zap her brain, too.

And if it looks like a good idea, I still have the ability to bring her self back, too.

Might be worth checkin' her tower anyway, in case it's some sort a' double bluff.

Me an' Jesse didn't find anythin' out a' sorts last week, but I don't mind goin' back an' scopin' it out again.

She is the kind of person who needs to be taken care of with those methods, and who will understand that those steps were taken against her because she knows how those things work and plays those games.

Just tell me if it doesn't work, or doesn't work sufficiently.

I thought so, too, but straight out killing her might mean too much trouble for people after.

The fallout from such a public figure being assassinated needs to be planned and directed to not backfire.

Altair's right. De-infiltrating her would be smoother, if someone's available who can do it. Stabbing should be our absolute last resort.

There's not much what I can do about Beatrice-san, but if there's anything you need to do on the Stonefolk side, I can try to help. I can pull someone back from their overlay if absolutely necessary.

Though as they are, I think they're at least willing to discuss co-operation regarding the amulets.

Cooperation in general is great. Cooperation with Beatrice, probably not. Not unless we can get her de-infiltrated - as herself she's usually on the side of solid resolution to this kind of thing.

Try to keep an eye out for her making a move on that piece, since it's the one she doesn't have ready access to.

The only thing I can offer is a distraction. It seems that people cannot help but want to care for children that seem lost and alone. Perhaps we could use that to our advantage, if she has enough of an open heart?
