I'm sure some of you have already discovered the reason for Liminal Space's current shape, but for those who haven't, Star is one of the living Arcana once more. Their restoration wasn't my work alone, but it was my idea to make the attempt, and my plan that we followed. The resurrection, and any consequences it might have on the Jaunt or Jaunts to follow is my responsibility. Not my team's, not the result of some plot by the Arcana or any outside forces. Mine.

Before anyone asks, I don't have any intention of resurrecting the rest of the fallen Arcana. I don't think it could even be done the same way a second time. With one exception, we don't know enough about how and where they died - and I suspect even making the attempt would be so against the idiom of that exception as to guarantee failure.

Thank you. I really do appreciate it. I-- know this is a controversial thing to do. But after I accidentally became an accessory to Tower's murder--they needed someone to pick them up after their taxi back got floored--I've really wanted to do something to make up for it.

They'd have been dead or worse if one of the Arcana had found them there first. You couldn't just leave them in Tower's deadspace. Even if it was their fault for being fucking dumb on multiple levels.

[The way he says that last part suggests he's more pissed at Team Murder for dragging her into it than he's letting on. Wouldn't do anyone much good to act on that now though, and he knows it.]

I get where they're coming from - that's why I think I might be able to talk people down now. I understand why they'd be angry. Hell if it'd happened a few years earlier I probably would've helped murder Tower. But that'll only make things worse for everyone.

Most of the Arcana only play this stupid 'game' because they're trying to bring their family back. Helping them with that will help us a lot more than killing more of them.

I mean, I don't know about that. I think they also play for the love of the game too--at least some of them. But it's a thing with multiple levels, you know? It's not one just thing.

Anyway. I've finally forgiven them for it? Like, if I hadn't gotten pulled in and I hadn't got the Murder Idiot who'd asked me to help get them back to give me the complete report of how they did it as payment, I wouldn't have been able to do my half of bringing Star back? So in a very real way, they provided the seed for Star's return through their murder stupidity.
