Late in Liminal Space

Hello, darlings. We have had quite the difficult last couple excursions, and I think we need a bit of a break from all of the gloom.

So, I would propose a celebration when we find ourselves in our next Liminal Space, as, if I do not miss my guess, it is close to the end of the year. I know there are quite a few Winter Holiday traditions represented among us, so why don't we use that?

I personally would suggest a fancy dress ball of some sort, masked or not. We have enough of us who have the skills to create decorations, food, drink, and clothing, that I believe we could come up with quite the party if we put our heads together.

There is absolutely no need to be so serious all the time, so let's have a bit of fun. Please let me know if you would be able or willing to help with anything, or if you have any ideas of traditions we could participate in. Even if you cannot help, absolutely everyone is invited.

We have some photos of Dad in crap like that, somewhere. It's a wonder Joshua's fashion sense came out as well as it did.

I found a report when I was tidying something up that indicated two Agents were found smoking there. It was... enlightening. And idiotic.

Wow that's dumb. The stuff in there can go off if you breathe on it funny, God only knows how they didn't get themselves killed. Sylvia Plath's soul-sucking typewriter was bad enough.

She was a writer - poetry, mostly. And she had major, major depression issues. Eventually killed herself.

That one at least wasn't his fault - we needed the shortcut through the Dark Vault, the gooery was about to explode, and he got spooked by something else and stumbled into the typewriter's sphere of influence. Not nearly as dumb as playing ping-pong with Alice.

I've heard that too, only about the 60s.

Probably depends on which end of the '60s you're talking about. Rebecca seemed to have her head pretty well together, but we were talking to her about stuff from the earlier end. The later end - well, Woodstock, I'd believe it.

Yeah, I meant the second half. There were a lot of old hippies in my home town. At least a couple taught at my high school.

According to Joshua, our parents had the hippie thing down to an art form. I don't really remember it, though.

I think mine might have done a little bit of hippie stuff, but they weren't huge hippies. It's... not like I can ask them anymore. Not from Liminal.

Yeah, cross-dimensional communication can be a real bitch and a half. As hard a time as Joshua had with it, I'm not really in any hurry to try.

Seriously. Why don't we have, like, the Doctor to magic our cell phones up to communicating with the world outside I tell you.

No kidding. And that'd be a damn sight better than having to be tethered to someone on the side you're trying to communicate with. That just ends badly.

Maybe that can be our next mountainside message to the Trumps:

Dear Trumps,

Please give us wifi and cell phone towers.

The wifi part I can do, but it'll mostly do us any good as an intranet. Still, that's better than nothing.

Yeah. I mean, shit, I'd take an intranet. It would be damn useful for keeping our Trump info on.

Trump info, stuff about where we've been - hell, anything else that comes up as useful. You never know.
