Holiday Reminder

Hey guys! I started trying to figure out the date again and realized something important. Since we had that month of Liminal weirdness that changed the Jaunt schedule, it shooould be about the middle of February. As much as that means anything here. You know what that means!

...well if you're from modern Earth, you know what that means. If you're not, it's Valentine's Day! It's a holiday for spending time with someone you love and sharing candy with them. Also with friends and family but maybe that's just a Japan thing. Either way, we can do it here.

Anyone who wants to try and make some chocolate, come meet me in the Workshop kitchen. Or...if no one's interested, can I at least get someone who can make ingredients? I need to make a lot of chocolate this year...

Anyway, go out and celebrate with people you love! If you don't have someone you love, celebrate with your friends! If you don't have any friends, I'll be your friend! Let's give PSYCHE-chan one more celebration before we start the next round, okay?

I'd be happy to stop by and make some ingredients. Is it hard to actually prepare the chocolate, though? I've never done that before.

Well, the basic way to do it is just melting chocolate bars and re-shaping them. You could probably even do pre-made chocolates, too, if you're giving them to friends. Working from scratch is more a thing you do for your boyfriend in Japan. Actually, I don't know if they even do that anywhere else...

I'd better get working, too. If we're here for Valentine's Day, we'll be in the middle of a Jaunt on White Day.

That's completely up to you, but I've never been disappointed by getting a gift early.

You can make chocolate?

Well, what I normally do is melt down storebought chocolate and mix it with other flavors to make something unique. It is possible to make it from scratch, though. You basically just use the cocoa beans like you were making coffee and then mix it with milk and sugar, I think.

And of course, if you've got Liminal Manipulation, you can start with anything.

...If you make a list of what you need, at least. There's no point in giving you something you can't use because we've tripped over some cultural differences.

Remember it's a good time to spend with friends, too...but yeah, premade milk chocolate's probably fine.

Oh. Uh. Sorry! I forgot that some people were really mad at the Arcana. I totally understand, though! Although other than hit on my boyfriend I don't know what Lovers did specifically...

I guess PSYCHE-chan would be psyched. [Someone had to make that pun. Sadly it was Jean that did. His voice sounds more neutral than anything, since he's not really sure what to think of Lovers - and he hasn't even heard the stories yet.]

I haven't heard of Valentine's Day, but if you need ingredients I can try provide. I also have the requirements to make nutritious food.

And thanks! It's not really a holiday about nutritious food though. It's pretty much all chocolate...oh unless you mean food that stays after you eat it. Yeah that'd be good.

Well yeah, but there's lots of stuff you should celebrate every day that has its own holiday. Birthdays are to celebrate being alive, Labor Thanksgiving Day is to appreciate people working hard, I think Christmas is supposed to be about generosity...

Sorry! I didn't really think about it until just now, and it's hard to keep track of calendars in general here.

Now, if we were in Japan, it'd be Mikasa-san's responsibility to get you candy, and you'd have another month before you needed to return it...but it wouldn't hurt to spend some time together regardless what customs we're talking about.
